The
UK’s premier manufacturer of high end bike components
is proud to be involved with Team SiS – Trek for
the 2008 season. The link between the two is a close
one – as they are based just 15 miles apart!
We will be supplying wheelsets, brakes, lights and bike
wash to the MTB Team – and hubs to the road Team.
We are keen to have some of the UK’s best athletes
riding on our products - it’s an ideal testing
ground and one which we can learn from and develop products
further. We hope to see some great results this year
– and hope that a small part of that will be due
to the quality, reliability and performance of our products.
We wish all the riders the very best for the coming
season and hope that it’s one which see’s
Team SiS – Trek regularly on top of the podium.
Hope, as a company has now worked at
the leading edge of engineering technology since 1989.
Started by two Rolls Royce Aerospace engineer’s
(still the current owners and working daily in the
factory!) they decided that the brakes on their then
newly discovered MTB’s weren’t up to scratch,
and so produced their first mechanical disc brake
– and that is as they say, where the story started.
Now 19 years on, we employ over 70 people
– to run over 40 CNC machines, 24 hours a day.
The whole range of components are produced in house
– using extensive knowledge and skills on the
latest computer aided design software to create the
drawings that are then turned into the finished parts.
Raw material enters the factory as extrusions and
is sent out to over 26 countries as what is widely
regarded as some of the best components money can
buy.
Our philosophy is – “to
produce high quality, durable parts that we want to
use. Use the latest and best design tools and machine
tools. Produce virtually every part in our UK factory
from raw material to finished part. Complete all processes
under the strict UK environmental and employment controls
